The Bars

Pourville-sur-mer and the Dieppe regionaround Villa Quartz

Beach bars and city bars...

Fancy a coffee or a drink on a terrace? When it comes to bars, the Dieppe region's reputation precedes it! As a port city, it still boasts around a hundred bistros of all kinds. Of course, we don't know them all; a tour would be far too long. But we have our favorites: "Le Douze," Le Bar des Bains, La Potinière, and Le Bout là Bas for aperitifs or lively late-night drinks in downtown Dieppe. "L'Epsom" or "L'Entrepot" for a cocktail dinner in a lounge atmosphere. For unforgettable sunsets: Les Cabines, Le Nota Bene, Les Saveurs de Pourville on Pourville beach, and Le Baromètre in Dieppe are must-visit spots on summer evenings... The choice is yours: "Cheers!"

Les "Beach bars"

Two magical places to enjoy a coffee in the sun on a deckchair during the day or to admire the sun plunging into the sea at sunset: "les Cabines" on Pourville beach and "Le Baromètre" at Bas Fort Blanc, at the western end of Dieppe beach... With, to tell you the truth, a preference for Les Cabines de Pourville where Vincent, its brand new owner, has created an atmosphere like nowhere else!

The Cabins of Pourville

Pourville-sur-Mer Beach

Les Cabanes de Pourville is THE beach bar par excellence, unlike any other around Dieppe! All of Pourville has been flocking there since Vincent opened in May 2020! During the day, you can enjoy a coffee in the sun and peace on a deckchair. But in the evening, it's Ibiza! From sunset onwards, the atmosphere is guaranteed: excellent music, good wines, crispy fresh fries, charcuterie boards... Vincent took over his aunt Marie-Claude's small crêperie and transformed it completely, turning it into a must-visit spot for those who love to party! Open from April to October, because in between, Vincent has another job: he's a cameraman!

The Barometer

Dieppe beach, Bas-Fort-Blanc.

For unforgettable sunsets, "Baro" is a well-located bar in Dieppe, perfect for an aperitif. Situated at the far end of the beach, it offers breathtaking views of the sea, the beach, and Cap d'Ailly. During the day, you can enjoy the sunny terrace with its panoramic views, creating a relaxed beach atmosphere. Light meals are available, but it's really worth going for the view and a pre-dinner drink, rather than a full meal. Unfortunately, a new bar service system recently implemented has completely ruined the ambiance: no welcome, no friendliness from the staff—who are practically invisible—simply filling your glasses without a single kind word. So now, only the view is worth the trip. What a shame. Tel: 33 2 32 90 12 31

The Nota Bene

Pourville-sur-Mer Beach

This new spot on Pourville beach isn't just an excellent restaurant, but also a bar with plenty of entertainment and live music. Even when it's crowded, the service is quick. The sea view is, of course, breathtaking… and the creation of a fine sandy beach with sun loungers is a clever way to avoid sore feet on the pebbles! Definitely worth checking out, in addition to the other already very pleasant spots on the seafront such as Les Cabines, Les Régates, and Les Saveurs de Pourville.

Open from April to October (Closed in case of bad weather). Tel: 02 35 84 98 64

The Flavors of Pourville

Pourville-sur-Mer Beach

"Les Saveurs de Pourville" (formerly "Les Saveurs d'Eric") is not just a good delicatessen. It's also a bar, an ice cream parlor, and a lively spot where you can enjoy a drink at any time of day or night. They also offer delicious charcuterie boards. Numerous concerts are held during the season. Open daily during the season.

Daytime bars and evening bars: the 6 must-visit spots!

Obviously, it's hard to choose between 100 bars when you want to go for a drink in Dieppe! But we have our own route with our favorite spots in the city center: Le Douze, Le Bar des Bains, Le Bout Là Bas, and La Potinière... With friendly and welcoming owners, great, lively, and festive atmospheres, regular events (concerts, exhibitions, etc.), not to mention good wines, cocktails, and beers! If you go, we're sure to bump into each other!

The Twelve

Dieppe, city center
This is a must-visit spot for Dieppe's nightlife, right in the heart of the city, behind the Casino. Jérémie and Etienne welcome you all day long for a coffee, and well into the evening, of course, with a Mojito! Enjoy the pleasant, sunny terrace during the day, overlooking the Tourelles. A great atmosphere is guaranteed for happy hour or later in the evening, until 2 am. You'll run into locals who love to party! They host numerous themed evenings and concerts, and always have a fantastic musical selection!

The Bar des Bains (BDB)

Dieppe, city center
Just a short walk from Le Douze, the Bar des Bains, "BDB" for those in the know, is another very friendly and unmissable bar, with a great nighttime atmosphere, located on the square in front of Saint Rémy Church. Nicolas offers good wines and delicious cheese or charcuterie boards for those feeling peckish, until well past midnight. His kindness and smile have won over all the night owls of Dieppe! Themed evenings are regularly organized, including game nights (blind tests, quizzes, etc.), which are very popular with the locals!

The End Over There

Dieppe, marina
There's also a great atmosphere at "Bout la Bas" on Quai Henri IV, with a beautiful view of the marina. You're always warmly welcomed by Kevin and his team, with Béa, the Queen of the Night, keeping a watchful eye on things! During the day, the south-facing terrace overlooking the boats is a delight for soaking up the sun and enjoying the harbor atmosphere! In the evening, you retreat to the intimate bar, with its surprising and welcoming decor. Like at Le 12 and BDB, there are numerous concerts and events, and you'll meet locals who love to party late into the night over drinks and delicious snacks (tapas, fries, hamburgers, etc.).

The Potinière

Dieppe, city center
In Dieppe, everyone knows Joseph! When you settle into La Pot', as it's known locally, you feel right at home! The atmosphere is warm and intimate around the bar during the winter, and festive on the large terrace during the summer, at the foot of Saint-Rémy Church. Joseph also regularly prepares homemade Lebanese dishes, to enjoy there or to take away!

L'Epsom

Dieppe Seafront
Even if we're not fans of Epsom's decor, because we love design, the place is still nice, as are Manu and his team who always welcome us with open arms! Great atmosphere, and it's one of the few places in Dieppe where you can dine even late, until midnight: bruschetta, composed salads, tapas. Tel: 33 2 35 84 12 27

The Warehouse

Dieppe - Quai Duquesne

Snacking, sipping, and chatting are the key words at L'Entrepôt, a friendly place where you can relax with friends after work or shopping! Enjoy three inviting atmospheres for delicious moments... and dine with live music: the owner is a true music connoisseur and offers a superb program of jazz/jam concerts, bossa nova, and more...
